Question by Sunilkumar G: What are the steps to lay a cement block foundation under double wide mobile home?
I am buying a double wide mobile and county codes say it must sit on a concrete foundation and be tied down by straps. I need to know how to build this foundation. I will be using regular concrete blocks on footings poured prior to mobile being moved in. I will have to build foundation after moving mobile over footings. Thanks

You could jack up the units to lay the block . . . but it’s going to take a lot more time to lay the block.
We always did the foundation first then hired a crane to place the units. Found it to be cost effective ( crane cost offest by block laying labor)
Be sure to have the specs (locations) of the tie down straps built in the units so you can have the anchors for such properly located in the block wall.
