The BlackBerry smartphone has become increasingly popular especially in Indonesia. The number of users has more than doubled within the past year of 2009. Unlike other parts of the world where BlackBerry smartphones are used in corporations for corporate use and mainly as BES – BlackBerry Enterprise Solution for work, the smartphones are commonly used by the young as well in Indonesia for leisure activities such as for social networking especially with Facebook, Twitter and the BlackBerry Messenger service.
